Things I think would like to see:

Moderating:
Most things that the moderators do should be automated.  I used to question why say two players on the same IP are even allowed to trade, if its against the rules.

I would like to see the case were any two players who share an IP, cant trade/spell/attack/ect each other for 2-3 weeks after they have shared the IP.  This would obviously apply to sitters as well.

Post the rules.--read the quote below from an old mod post I had.

Get rid of resets.
Make the punishment for offenses an account lock feature.  While locked a players cannot access their account in any way, and clan logs would not show attacks, and honor does not apply.  Variable time ranges can be used.

Mods != players.  And if that is not possible, lock mods out from interacting with players for 2-3 weeks each time they look at the players logs just like with people on the same IP.

Make honor simple.
I feel like I need to sacrifice a chicken and consult an astrological chart to figure out who I need to attack.  Why is this necessary?

Recovery
Most players who lose a week+ of build time in a day are going to quit. 


I would like to see formal rule sets be posted, with appropriate punishments with them.  I think that will help to clear up some of the mess that comes from issues such as the ones we are seeing.

Ex.
Chat & PM
Violating the TOS of the chat or PM will result in a ban of said service ad the moderators discretion.

Game play
Any action the player takes that gives unintended results should be reported <here><link>.  If there is a question if something is permitted please contact a moderator.  Repeated use and failure to report may lead to a suspension.  In addition, if the action provides an extreme advantage for one player or is to the extreme detriment to another the offending account will be suspended.

Any exploit of a known <bug><link>, registration bugs, or the use of any external software to gain advantage in the game will result in a summary ban.  This includes but is not limited to multiple accounts, registration bugs, rune/resource generation bugs, software to prevent idle activity.  This action can be taken on one or all servers, depending on the severity of the infraction.

For players who play from the same household a unique set of rules to curb mutli accounts is listed <here><link>

A couple of new things.  Confirmed bugs will be listed.  I strongly feel that being strongly punished for exploring things, is both unnecessary and will only lead to stagnation in the game.

Bugs in this case are posted in the bugs forum.  Until mods/developers can confirm the bug players can try to confirm the bug themselves.  A new stuck topic will list all confirmed bugs, and then players can be punished for the exploits.

There is automated rule enforcement being looked into by daedeloth right now and being worked into the newer stable.

If they cheat get caught punished..they can go back and cheat again without mod looking for it? Not sure I understand.

If you get rid of reset and only have account lock, the time they cheated and improved their village greatly is still there when they get back to it. It's enemies may have not still been able to get near his value by then. Some other punishment still needs to be created then not just lock out. Lock out sounds ok but will their account just sit unattackable and not being able to use it or will they not be able to use it and can be attacked by others?

For the mods thing what I mean is that if I am a mod and look at player b's village.... I cant attack, support, trade..... with that village for 2-3 weeks. 


As far as lock outs, I never said they were unattackable. A week of honor free hits should be about the same as a reset, no?

Oh ok. Thanks for clarifying. That is all I wanted.  Honor free hits are no means anywhere near reset, especially if that account is near 5-10 times bigger already especially if they can get more support, now if that support cant come in then its possible for people to knock it down over a period of time provided they aren't being attacked by others at the same time. That is a good idea though I think. The unbalances once fixed better will see that type of change making more of a dent in the armor.

Well and another idea or two that I had
Some list in game that is automatically updated to display everyone with honor < 100.  This could also apply to people who are on the lock out list as well.

And I was thinking about archers.  Back when there was a fixed 7-slot battlefield they could really do some damage.  But when the battle field got much bigger archers would routinely miss and become less effective.  I think if some way for archers to 'aim' at other slots than the three in front of them would add some bite back to them.

Yeah I was kind of thinking that in the back of mind off and on when I see the word archers. Attacking maybe with not full force but even to have a 2 slot reach would give archers a role back in the game.  While as it is now they are getting useless.

As said before, i totally agree on this part

I would like to see a forced vmode for players that are questioned, suspicious accounts so to say.
Vmode with ban and the players village is open for attack for offenders of rules (time limit depends on the abuse done)
No more reset, resetting a player has been to harsh in some cases and didn't help in other cases.



As for mod playing, mods should be involnurable, not attackable and not able to attack as well, mods should not have any interation with other players at all, not if they looked at a certain village, never... we have to much info on the game.
(playing sim city on my account int2 and acting as AI village only)



However, with a manually modded server we seem to have things under control on int2!
Are you playing there doom?

Your village is 38100% bigger than the defending village. You will probably lose 90 honour by attacking this village. If someone of your clan attacked this village earlier, every clan member will lose honour.

I think that is a decent idea but the problem is people closest benefit the most. But i love the idea because at least runes were not destroyed as we constantly have the problem of people getting reset when the stole so many runes from other players and those runes are essentially lost. And players are constantly havin the problem of runes shortages and havin to attack really far away or face honor loss.
