Re: Speed reset, yes or no?

The only way things are gonna change is if players learn from their mistakes. Something doesn't work, try something else.

If there's one huge clan, then take em down. Make alliances. It worked on stable.

And from what I see there's a lot of whining and crying. I don't know why there are separate threads because it all comes back to the same thing. I'm sick of reading the same post over and over.

One reason I left is because the moaners got right on my pip. They've taken the fun out of the game. Instead of blaming mods/developers/each other, work out a new strategy of how to play. I came back as I thought things might have levelled out a little. I play for enjoyment, not for any kind of winners prize.

I'm getting on my own nerves now cos I've drawn myself into all this.

Do you both have an idea, cause that's what players have been trying for months, now they're asking for help because they can't do much more, so we nag and whin and cry.
Again if you have an idea you're welcome to share.

So you're saying the game is fine again? You were talking about changing the portals, looks like you agree with me the game needs change from the developers. (This is an example of many once again, if you want to prove me wrong you should try this because you fail again and again)

Back on topic, reset speed?
I don't really care, we could fight with less units starting all over again but the fights will be the same.
So if (and i don't think there will be) there are any improvements coming i would say wait till all improvements are installed, all bugs are fixxed and reset it then.

I disagree, that we will have the same problem.  It might develop into the same after a long time, but I think the bugs the developers currently are working on will improve the game the way it currently is (BUT we don't need to fight our way out of the current situation - Demonic is clearly the winner.  He has fair and square been on line, almost 24/7 (lol), and who can compete with that?).  I think bugs will play out differently with everyone fighting on equal footing, and fixing the bugs that deal with the imbalance between human and elf, would keep many problems in check.  But it is hard to see if bug fixes really work, if we are looking at the current landscape.

Could some of the game mechanics that the game is currently is suffering from be attributed to the fact that elves are being equipped with weapon that were only meant for human (better weapon that instead of equalize things, only made it worse).

just my humble 5 cents.

Re: Speed reset, yes or no?

I just entered vmode cause of the bugs that keep appearing and there is no feedback whatsoever.

Also, i assure you after a reset another alliance awesome will be created, perhaps not intentionally but the second alliance awesome formed to prevent from alliance awesome to be formed again.
(does it make sense to anyone)

I have posted several bugs, none of them got any replies from the developer(s).
Nothing is done about them.

The non eating support troops could have made me a gazillion extra food.
I didn't abuse it and i don't think anyone did but for a strategy game this rules out most of the strategy..... i know of players who have quit and sent there troops out to another village untill the end of days, that village who is using the support troops should be running negative production therefore disabling him to rebuild units.
Talking about a major bug.

The regiments that won't move in battle, minor bug you say?
I think not, looking back into the battles i've done in the past made me aware of at least 4 occasions where it happened, i won those so i did not pay much attention but i can't say these are fair to the people i attacked.

Archers shooting arrows while they are incapable of firing due to heavy rain?
Kinda weird, they don't shoot, but still the battle logs informs me they did shoot and killed some of the attackers units as well...

I could go on a little more but i won't.
Reset the game as much as you like, features implemented only cause people to find other ways to cheat.
(for instance have a friend craft just weapons and armours of high levels and send them to your village, it's not really cheating but since that players who's role is a smith is not actively playing the game it's not something that should be encouraged)

First things first, get your priorities straigtened and fix those bugs, get some good moderators (again, since all (none-whamra-loyal) mods seem to have vanished into thin air and balance the game! There are plenty of good idea's on this forum, there are plenty of players who would love to discuss this with the developers.
All i see is a lot of players talking ingame about improvements and bugs, some on this forum and no developer at all...

So when is the burial ceromony for this game?

Your village is 38100% bigger than the defending village. You will probably lose 90 honour by attacking this village. If someone of your clan attacked this village earlier, every clan member will lose honour.

I have to say, I disagree with this, I'm fascinated by the idea that each village can have its own specialty.

That village with just 1 warehouse of level 20 or 40, an armour smith level 14 and a weapons smith level 14 will never be in honor range for anyone to attack, it will only craft weapons and armour, not playing the game, just giving one player a huge advantage.

I say hey, if someone wants to sit on their rump and make and make armor and weapons all day then let 'em.
EDIT: Clans could fight over that guy.

Re: Speed reset, yes or no?

Personally, I don't mind so much the clan working as a team to get the job done, and in most cases it only happens till a certain level and then everybody is back to making troops, etc.   The problem I see more is where we have multies working the system and powering up one village with the other(s).   To me the biggest bug in the game is, how weak the human have become compared to the elves.  Playing as human, must be so frustrating - I have seen so many pack their bags and leave the game after just one blow from 1/3 of their own numbers in elves.  That is a shame - better weapons were made for them to equalize, but the trade made the imbalance greater instead of evening things out.

Yes, there are battle bugs, but I somehow have a feeling that some of those are caused by elves using weaponry that weren't meant for them.  The battle mechanics are dealing in numbers it wasn't meant to compute.  I don't know, just a thought - At any rate, please get it fixed and make these human players more happy tongue

And then lets get that reset under way wink

Re: Speed reset, yes or no?

Honestly I think trades for anything should be severely penalized or eliminated for non-clan members.  Right now being in a clan adds little benefit, other than the tag.  This would also hinder multies to a great extent.... its harder to get away with it when you are all in the same clan.

And God Said:
Δ*D = ρf                   Δ*B = 0
ΔxE = -δB/δt            ΔxH = Jf + δD/δt
and THEN there was light.

This is the string on reset - for or against it.

Re: Speed reset, yes or no?

Well I only had the choice of yes or no. I said no because I want to get rid of the speed server with modifications to the stable. Hence the new topic.

Re: Speed reset, yes or no?

understood, and a reset of stable would certainly take care of certain things, but there are still bugs on speed, that the developer team don't want on stable.  And, they have promised a 3 month warning period before reset of stable, so that would make it hard to get accomplished overnight - unfortunately.

As long as they can get players to pay premium on stable and on speed, they probably won't get rid of speed.  They need to keep it open for demonic who needs 24/7 action.  Maybe he can have two separate clans and fight himself - yeah a demonic server - multies ok tongue

Just my humble 5 cents
